About Lisa

I'm Lisa Williams, an Integrative

Counsellor, Clinical Supervisor and founder of Human Holistics.

Over the past decade I've worked across the NHS, education, local authorities, charities and private practice, supporting people through a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges.

My work is grounded in curiosity, compassion and genuine human connection. Whether I'm working therapeutically with clients or supporting practitioners in supervision, I aim to create a calm, thoughtful space where people can reflect, develop and move forward with confidence.

I believe that the relationship is central to meaningful change. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all therapy, I tailor my approach to the individual, drawing on a range of evidence-informed models to meet each person's unique needs.

Qualifications

My academic and professional training reflects a commitment to lifelong learning and evidence-informed practice. I continue to undertake regular continuing professional development to ensure my work remains current, ethical and responsive to the needs of those I support.

  • BSc (Hons) Psychology (First)
  • MSc Clinical Psychology (Distinction)
  • Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
  • Level 6 Diploma in Clinical Supervision (CPCAB)
  • Advanced Certificate in Parent–Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)

Experience

Throughout my career I've worked across the NHS, education, local authorities, charities and private practice, supporting adults, young people, families and professionals. Alongside my private practice, I've lectured at the University of Hertfordshire, worked within trauma and addiction services, and supported practitioners through clinical supervision and professional development.

These varied experiences have shaped the way I work today. They allow me to draw on a broad understanding of mental health, human relationships and professional practice, while always remaining focused on the individual sitting in front of me.

Whatever brings someone to work with me, I believe they deserve to feel heard, understood and supported without judgement

My Approach

My approach is integrative, relational and collaborative. Rather than following one model rigidly, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to meet the needs of each individual, recognising that no two people or situations are the same.

I value reflection, curiosity and authenticity. Whether in counselling or clinical supervision, I encourage thoughtful exploration rather than quick answers, creating a space where insight, confidence and meaningful change can develop over time.

Alongside traditional talking therapy, I have a particular interest in the connection between mind and body, helping people understand how thoughts, emotions and physical experiences influence one another. This holistic perspective supports deeper self-awareness, resilience and lasting growth.
