Training and reflective practice for frontline workers, counsellors, and multidisciplinary teams, including CPD workshops and restorative retreats.
The Reflective Practitioner offers training, CPD workshops, and reflective practice for counsellors, frontline workers, and multidisciplinary teams. Our retreats and workshops provide space for reflection, connection, and professional growth in supportive, tranquil environments.

As a team of psychotherapists and reflective practitioners, we are increasingly aware of the growing pressures faced by frontline workers, multidisciplinary teams, and allied professionals. Working closely with people and their lived experiences can be deeply meaningful and rewarding, but it can also be complex, emotionally demanding, and, at times, overwhelming. Without adequate space to process these experiences, professionals may find themselves at risk of burnout, compassion fatigue, and disconnection from both themselves and their work.
We believe that caring for those who care for others is essential. Creating space for reflection not only supports the wellbeing and sustainability of practitioners, but also enhances the quality of care offered to clients and patients. When professionals feel supported, resourced, and connected, this has a positive impact across the wider team and organisational culture. While this work can be enriching and purposeful, it can also be exhausting and draining—making it all the more important to prioritise reflective practice, connection, and ongoing professional development.
In response to this, we bring together a thoughtfully designed space that integrates training and continued professional development with experiential learning and reflective practice. This approach supports professionals to deepen their skills while also developing a clearer understanding of the impact of their work on others, and the impact of others on themselves. Alongside this, we create opportunities for meaningful connection with like-minded professionals, enabling shared learning, dialogue, and support. Importantly, these spaces also allow time to step back, to rest, and to recalibrate—recognising that sustainable practice requires both professional growth and personal renewal.
CPD Training Rooted in Reflective Practice
We offer CPD training grounded in reflective practice, supporting professionals to deepen their understanding of communication, relational dynamics, and human connection. Our approach encourages thoughtful, embodied learning that enhances both personal awareness and professional effectiveness across a range of practice settings.
Workshops for Multidisciplinary Teams
We deliver engaging half-day and full-day workshops designed to strengthen collaborative working within multidisciplinary teams. Our workshops enhance reflective practice in client- and patient-facing roles, supporting professionals to think more deeply, respond more effectively, and work with greater clarity, confidence, and cohesion.
Residential Experiential Retreats
Our retreats offer a unique opportunity to step away from the demands of everyday practice and reconnect with reflective ways of working. Set in safe, supportive, and tranquil environments, these experiences combine CPD, experiential learning, peer connection, and meaningful dialogue—creating space for renewal, insight, and professional growth.
Postgraduate Certificates & Advanced Training
We offer postgraduate certificates and extended training programmes designed to deepen and expand the skills introduced in our workshops and CPD training. These programmes support psychotherapists, counsellors, and professionals in the helping professions to further develop their knowledge, reflective capacity, and clinical or relational practice within multidisciplinary contexts.
Team Away Days for Reflective and Effective Practice
We offer tailored team away days for multidisciplinary teams and professionals within the helping and allied professions. These days provide a dedicated space to explore team dynamics, deepen understanding of relational processes, and strengthen communication and collaboration. Through reflective practice and facilitated dialogue, teams are supported to work more cohesively—enhancing both staff experience and the quality of care offered to clients and service users.
